This is where it all begins folks.
Here is episode 001 of The Magic of Eyri. In our first episode, you get a quick overview before things get rolling. Then the fun begins–we meet our heroes, Steve Harrier and his Uncle Shameless, and we find out why young Steve is spending the summer with his uncle in River City.

Technical Notes: this episode was recorded with a different microphone than the proceeding episodes, so there will be some sound differences. Likewise, I’m still learning the fine art of audio mixing, so this first episode might sound a little rough in spots. I’m getting better with each episode though, and the same goes for my voice acting.
For more information on the story, check out About and Characters. These sections will be updated as episodes are put online since I don’t want to spoil too much ahead of time.
Cast:
Daniel J. Hogan
(Host, Narrator, Characters)
Laura B. Wise
(The Woman With the Bad Haircut)
Music is provided by GarageBand, as well as most of the sound effects. Other sound effects I made myself.
Ramblings (added 7.14.10): New listeners will hear a fake credit roll call at the end of this episode and for the next few. I got tired of doing that, and put a stop to it, mainly because it wasn’t that funny, and it equaled more work.
Next Time on The Magic of Eyri (4.26.09): Our heroes take a canoe trip down the Grand River and Uncle Shameless annoys Steve with singing and bad jokes. But it isn’t all fun, as they see some strange things on the river.

Clicked on the ‘download’ link to get the mp3 and the link just started apple quick time and loaded the audio and started playing. I was wanting an mp3 I can burn to a disc and
then listen to in my car.
Sorry ’bout that — You actually need to Right Click on where it says Download and then choose Save Target As (or whatever) and save it to where you want on your hard drive. I’m going to post those instructions in future episodes from now on.
Love the book, Daniel Hogan, I actually freaked out because I had lost it for some time, and now having found it again am re-reading it. Like the narration by the way, but why aren’t you listed as the parts?
Hi Emma, thanks for the feedback (and sorry for the late reply–this didn’t show up in my inbox right away for some reason).
As far as me not being listed (at least in the early episodes), it was something I thought would be fun to do. But, after awhile I decided it was really more work than it was worth, so I’m slowly changing things to “yes, I do all of the voices, with a few exceptions.” This whole thing is a work in progress 🙂 haha.
Glad you found your copy of the book!
